today is world aids day.
today is a day meant to remind us all to take a moment or two to remember those that we’ve lost to hiv/aids and those that are currently in the fight of their lives.
get involved, either locally or via join red and help fight hiv/aids in africa!

during my evening’s perusal of my blogroll, one of my favorite blogs that features advertising of an adult nature was sporting this picture:

on the cold front, it’s still kickin, but i hope to shit it’s almost over.
oh, on another front, i have date no. 4 tomorrow night depending on how i feel. we’re calling him “the dr.”, tho’ he’s not an actual doctor. but he digs dr. who, so it seemed fitting.
this hotel is ghetto.
now, granted, the hotel obviously knows this as it’s under renovation – but this hotel is so ghetto and nasty, it should have been closed during the renovation – wait till you see the lobby; i’ll have to snap a pic or two tomorrow.
i’m here for a hair show… then sunday, i’m off to the ritz-carlton in dallas for a sales meeting i’m producing. how very yin/yang.

Women drawn to men with muscles

CHICAGO (Reuters) – Muscular young men are likely to have more sex partners than their less-chiseled peers, researchers at the University of California Los Angeles said on Monday.
Their study, published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, suggests muscles in men are akin to elaborate tail feathers in male peacocks: They attract females looking for a virile mate.
“Women are predisposed to prefer muscularity in men,” said study author David Frederick of UCLA.
“Most research is focused on what men find physically attractive in women and the career traits women find attractive in men,” Frederick said by telephone. “Much less research is devoted to what women find attractive.”
He said prior studies concluded a man’s desirability was influenced more by his earning potential and commitment. His study found physical characteristics mattered more.
Women were more physically attracted to brawny men, especially for a fling. But when it comes to finding a long-term partner, they tend to pick a regular man over a mate with huge biceps.
“On the one hand, it makes them more sexy to women. On the other hand, it makes women more suspicious about their romantic intentions,” Frederick said.
He and colleagues interviewed 99 male undergraduates about their sexual histories. Muscular men were twice as likely to have had more than three sex partners than less-built types.
Frederick and colleagues also asked 141 college women to look at six standardized silhouettes of men ranging from brawny to slender. Most preferred a toned man who was more likely to commit over a muscle-bound man they perceived as more volatile, aggressive and dominant.

ummm… for the record, i’m a pretty kick-ass guy. even if life/the universe doesn’t always agree with that (fuckin’ life).
as such, if anyone is willing, there is a lovely website that specializes in selling direct-from-soundboard recordings of peter gabriel concerts. these are non-edited, source master recordings of every peter gabriel concert for the past few years (including his current european tour). in case you didn’t notice the link above, here it is again, and again. oh, it’s important to note, each of these concert cd’s are only $30. 30 smackers. 30 washington’s. cheap.
too make up for life/universe blunder’s of not always being good to me – it would be super-duper if you good folks would go out and purchase said peter gabriel recordings as a lovely little prezzie for me. maybe all my readers could pool their moolah and buy the box set (the basic set would be fine, no need for the extravagent set). receiving a cd or two would point out how wrong life/the universe is and restore the kick-assness of yours truly.
